Description
This role will manage the development and execution of Purolator and Purolator International events and sponsorship strategy to amplify the Purolator brand and create revenue opportunities as a part of the 5-year strategic plan.
Responsibilities • Champion a customer-first strategic approach to overseeing the execution of end-to-end sponsorship activation.
• Develop a long-term strategic approach to sponsorship that aligns with our 5-year corporate strategy and manage costs across agencies and media platform spend.
• Conduct contract negotiation and budget planning for the optimal achievement of sponsorship goals.
• Create a strategic approach to customer events that amplifies revenue and brand opportunities for Purolator and Purolator International.
• Develop face-to-face and digital customer event experiences that align with our corporate vertical revenue targets.
• Collaborate with Purolator’s Marketing Communications, brand, customers solutions, Marketing Operations, Corporate Communications, Retail marketing, and other cross-functional teams to promote and advocate for branded event experiences.
• Translate brand strategies, positioning, and customer insights into strategic events that deliver on business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders from CSR and ESG teams to develop a 5-year sponsorship strategic plan.
• Maintaining strong relationships with our agency and strategic partners and providing the necessary guidance and leadership required to inform their work.
• Setting the pace for innovation and best-in-class work by challenging our agency partners and our internal team to continually improve our work and find new means and opportunities to do so; sourcing case studies and examples to learn from and share on an ongoing basis.
• Helping to manage the budget process on an ongoing basis, working closely with finance and senior marketing leadership to track our budget and ensure our investments with agencies and partners are being utilized appropriately and according to the plan.
• Maintaining close communication and collaboration with external stakeholders and partners as needed, from across the spectrum of innovation partners, strategic partners, and others, and working as needed to build integrated plans to elevate the brand.
• Leverage data to inform decision-making for strategy development and adjustments as necessary.
• Enable fluid on-the-go budget spend framework informed by real-time campaign performance analysis that minimizes ineffective spending and maximized ROI.
• University Graduation with Additional Specialized Courses up to One Academic Year - Additional courses or courses in a specialized area of an occupation requiring University graduation, as a prerequisite or a four-year Honours program.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required.
• Over 7 years and including 10 years (progressive experience).
• A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience.
• Managed agency/supplier relationships in previous roles.
• Experience managing and reconciling budgets.
• Self-directed, with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building, and leadership.
• Experience with Event Marketing.
• Experience with Sponsorship.
• Demonstrated advanced project management experience.
• Experience leading or managing a team.

• Able to excel in a dynamic environment with strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel at times.
