The incumbent assists in the preparation and processing of payroll, as well as in the preparation of salary progressions for employee groups belonging to CUPE Local 3025 and ONA Local 042 at the Prescott and Russell Residence. The incumbent ensures follow-up on unauthorized absences for the entire corporation. They process requests for disclosure of information for the entire corporation and provide clerical support to the Remuneration Service.

Requested skills

  • Have a two-year college diploma in administration, human resources, or any other related or relevant field.
  • Have a minimum of one year of experience in payroll within a unionized environment.
  • Good knowledge of manual and computerized payroll processing.
  • Good knowledge of payroll accounting.
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel).
  • Good knowledge of word processing (Word) and presentation software (PowerPoint).
  • General knowledge of human resources systems.
  • Good knowledge of the applicable collective agreements, pension plans, group insurance policies, and the various legislations and regulations of the Council relating to employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English, orally and in writing.

A criminal record check must be provided upon hiring only (dated no longer than three months prior to the date when it has been requested) and is a condition of employment.
