Workplace: Casselman
Schedule: 35 hours/week
Hourly rate: $33.87
The Case Worker is responsible for the ongoing management of services and Ontario Works program. This position is also responsible for completing applications for social assistance, conducting audits, maintaining records of its caseload, guiding and referring the participants as well as attending and supporting the participants in their employment activities.

Requested skills
- Must have a college (2 years) or university (3 years) degree specialized in Social Sciences;
- Ability to communicate easily in French and in English (orally and in writing);
- Good knowledge of principles and intervention practices applicable in the Social Work field as well as available community resources for information and references;
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations of the various programs of the Department which are relevant to the position held;
- Have a good knowledge of the various software and computer programs which are relevant to the position held in order to complete the necessary documents for data entry;
- Knowledge of the requirements for maintaining eligibility for Ontario Works;
- Being able to perform mathematical calculations related to case reviews and eligibility assessment;
- Demonstrate skills to conduct interviews;
- Have well developed organizational skills in order to prioritize work and organize several information;
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.
A criminal record check must be provided upon hiring only (dated no longer than three months prior to the date of when it has been requested) and is a condition of employment.
