Al-Amal Academy is seeking a dedicated, organized, and professional individual to join our team as a School Secretary. This role is central to supporting the principal, staff, students, and families while managing day-to-day administrative and secretarial tasks. We are looking for someone who will serve as a professional representative of the school community, upholding Islamic values such as honesty, respect, confidentiality, and excellence in all interactions.

As a School Secretary, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate student records and tracking attendance. You will also prepare and distribute newsletters and school communications, as well as coordinate meetings, events, and parent-teacher communications. In addition, you will manage various administrative files including invoices, expenses, and purchase orders, while providing timely support to staff, students, and parents.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to work collaboratively as part of the secretarial team. You should be comfortable with computers, online platforms, and the Internet, and possess proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications for managing documents, spreadsheets, and databases. Familiarity with online learning platforms and web-based applications would be beneficial, though training will be provided. Just as importantly, you must demonstrate the ability to interact with staff, parents, and students in a professional and respectful. Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role, particularly in a traditional or online school in fast-paced environment, would be an asset.

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) 17.5 hours per week, probationary position commencing Monday January 5th, 2026. The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check prior to starting.
