What you’ll do
- Process orders accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service, by answering communications professionally and on a timely basis.
- Act as a liaison between the customer or sales representative and purchasing, operations, and finance. Must take initiative to solve customers’ issues.
- Promote and develop our list of in store items.
- Ensure open communication between all departments.
- Daily review of order status with details report.
- Customer Service is the primary contact for information on samples sent to third party laboratories.
- Ensure all orders are shipped on time in coordination with the shipper/receiver.
- Schedule and notify customers of future product deliveries.
- Deal with all customer complaints efficiently and effectively.
- Handle / process in-store orders via cash, credit and debit transactions.
- Handle credits per the customer credits procedure
- Stocking of shelves; ensuring adequate quantities of stock are displayed.
- Advise purchasing of any stock shortfalls.
- Coordinate with sales representatives on: customer requests, issues, pricing, shipment timing, complaints, comments, etc.
- Strong communicator, who thrives in collaborative environments.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Post-secondary education in related field (Horticulture)

- What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Completed secondary school (Grade 12) or a vocational diploma in horticulture (an asset)
- Experience in customer service.Ability to maintain a fast work pace during the peak season (spring and summer).
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook software.Functional spoken and written English.
- Possess a valid work permit in Canada (required)
