Senior mechanic

Phaneuf Équipements agricoles is looking for a motivated senior mechanic to join our dynamic and passionate team. If you care about agriculture and have a solid experience in agricultural mechanics , we want to meet you.

As a senior mechanic, you are a reference in the field. In the workshop and on the road, you will be responsible for offering a service that meets our expectations with our customers.

Your role as a senior mechanic:

• Repair, maintain and prepare agricultural machinery and tractors
• Investigate the cause of breakdowns and check machinery for defects and failures
• Determine the nature of defects and failures, using computerized control equipment and other test equipment, to determine the extent of repairs required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Test the repaired equipment to ensure that it is working properly and that the repairs comply with the manufacturer’s requirements
• Clean and lubricate equipment and perform other routine maintenance
• Support junior mechanics in their development
• Complete the required training

Requirements:

• DEP in agricultural mechanics or related field
• Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience (agricultural mechanics or heavy vehicles, an asset)
• Analytical skills developed and ability to diagnose
• Mastery of mechanics, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic
• Good manual dexterity
• You like to share your knowledge
• Customer service skills
• Work safely
• A valid driver’s license to work on the road
• Available to work on a Saturday morning punctually and being on-call for our emergency service (in rotation)
