Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent

Pay Rate: $25.65/hr

Shift: Days and Nights - 12-hour shift schedule

The Syrup Maker will be responsible for preparing and mixing syrups for production as required with an emphasis on Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Other responsibilities include testing syrups, product and water to ensure specifications are met, receiving inventory of concentrate and sweetener. The Syrup Maker is also responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment along with filling equipment, carbo-coolers, tanks and piping. Maintaining the water treatment system, including back-washing sand/gravel filters, ion regeneration, carbon streaming and monitor water quality.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Must be able to read and write English as there is a strong possibility of injury to self or others due to nature of work
  • Cost exposure to the company is greater than $1,000
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Minimum of one year previous exposure to water treatment systems is a requirement
  • Ability to work shift work and flexible to work all different shifts depending on shift availability (days/evenings/afternoons/weekends)
  • Problem-solving skills along with the ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments as necessary
  • Team player who shows initiative, reliability, and flexibility
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must pass assessments

Major Physical Demands:

  • Frequently lifting/carrying a maximum of 80 lbs
  • Occasionally pushing/pulling/lifting a maximum of 400 lbs. (with the aid of a mechanical device)
  • Frequent bending and reaching above the shoulder
