Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of a School
Administrative Support II based out of Barrhead Composite High School.

Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3600 students
in 15 community schools including two Hutterite Colony Schools and two outreach
schools. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and
beyond our borders, through our online school, Vista Virtual School. For more

The School - Barrhead Composite High School (Grades 7 - 12)
Located approximately 120 km
northwest of Edmonton, Barrhead Composite High School (BCHS), is a grade
7-12 school.

The position:
The successful candidate must be
self-directed team player who will support the Administration team and help
manage day-to-day operations of the school. The successful candidate must be
flexible and be willing to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day following the
school calendar. This position commences April 7, 2026.
Duties:
- providing a welcoming atmosphere for students, parents,
colleagues and visitors to the the school
- Student records management
- Managing office routines such as mail, parcels, surveys
etc.
- Assist with finance and accounting duties such as
purchasing functions, reconcile accounts, monitor school budgets, month
end reporting procedures, employee expense reports and invoices
- Managing data and produce reports
- Supervising students as needed, providing support and
assistance
- Liaising with Regional Office, Alberta Education
and other public organizations as needed
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and efficient with superior
organizational skills
- Possess excellent public relations and communication
skills
- Have strong writing, proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish
priorities
- Able to exercise a high degree of confidentiality
- Able to work independently and to collaborate to
provide team support
- Ability to work in a high energy setting with changing
priorities
- Experience with budgets, purchase orders, petty cash
journals, statements and invoices
- Excellent computer and technology skills in programs
such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Acrobat,
- Experience with PASI, Genius SIS, Rycor, and
PowerSchool is an asset
- Post-secondary training in office administration is an
asset
