Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of Associate Principal for Ecole Westlock Elementary School. Duties are to commence August 25, 2025 and will end June 25, 2026.

Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3800 students in 15 community schools in north central Alberta. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and beyond our borders, through our online school, Vista Virtual School. The School
École Westlock Elementary School, located in Westlock, Alberta, is a dual track Kindergarten to Grade 6 school. The staff at this dynamic school create a sense of belonging for students and staff alike. Operating with an inclusionary model, École Westlock Elementary School offers full programming for Special Needs students.
The Position
The Associate Principal for Ecole Westlock Elementary School will be supported by an engaging, dedicated team of professionals and community including school council, school staff, the Superintendent and Senior Administration.
Qualifications:
- Permanent Alberta Teacher Certification
- Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of a professional learning community
- The ability to work effectively with diverse students and parent groups
- Strong evidence of instructional leadership
- Previous Principal and/or Associate principal experience would be considered an asset
- Individuals must have a Master of Education degree or a plan to pursue their Master of Education degree

- Contribute to the school and community
- Value and understand the importance of the Board’s Education Plan, School Education Plan, Professional Learning Communities, and Assessment for and of Learning.
- Have an understanding of purposeful inclusion and individual program planning
