The Role
We're looking for an Accounting Administrator to oversee the day-to-day financial activities that keep our business running smoothly. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys contributing to both operations and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Enter and process supplier invoices, verify pricing, documentation, and payment terms
- Accounts Receivable: Assist with customer invoicing, monitor collections, and flag overdue accounts
- Bank Reconciliations and monthly balancing of the books
- GST/QST Filing: Prepare and submit monthly reports
- Payroll Administration: Coordinate with third-party provider, support setup and bi-weekly processing
- DAS Filing: Prepare monthly employer remittances
- Inventory & Supply Chain Accounting: Reconcile incoming goods to ensure proper cost and documentation
- Expense Management: Ensure employee reimbursements and business expenses are coded and recorded properly
- HR & Admin Support: Maintain employee files and support schedule updates as needed
- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements to current workflows and tools
Requested skills
- 5–8 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration
- Knowledge of Sage 50.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Excel (experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus)
- Experience with payroll software and government remittances
- Bilingual (French and English), with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving problems
- Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment
- CPA designation is considered an asset but not required
