We are always on the lookout for quality individuals to grow our operations. We are currently seeking a motivated contractor inside sales representative to gain market.
We are seeking a Building Materials Consultantwho is driven to work closely with contractors, homebuilders and self-builders by developing new relationships and growing accounts through leveraging our specialty lines: Lumber, Drywall, Insulation, Roofing, Masonry and Window & Doors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of service to all customers;
- Always maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers;
- Advises customers by providing knowledge of products and services;
- Ensure special order products are ordered in a timely manner following correct ordering procedures;
- Follows-up on estimates, special orders and products ordered for customers;
- Comply with company's pricing policies and procedures;
- Work with other team members and leaders to ensure a high-quality customer experience;
- Deal directly with vendors and complete special orders as required;
- Drive sales through engagement of customers, consultative sales, and sharing of product knowledge;
- Clarify and understand customers’ needs and provide them with the best solution(s) for their projects;
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions;
- Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions;
- Produces quotes, material lists and complete follow up with customers;
- Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently;
- Maintains knowledge on products and market conditions;
- Works closely with Head Office for special pricing;
- Strong communication with management and foreman for upcoming projects to ensure inventory is available in a timely manner.
Requirements
- A strong foundation in sales and customer service;
- Problem solver who can work with minimal supervision;
- Excellent communication and team player;
- Confident, persuasive, energetic and self-motivated;
- Organized, can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and sales objectives;
- Microsoft Office skills and willingness to learn new software programs;
- A knowledge of building materials and the construction process is essential;
- Able to quickly develop a trusting relationship with new customers, and build rapport with existing customers by providing quality customer service and maintaining service standards;
- Strong verbal and written communication;
- Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and with a team;
- Organizational/planning and analytical skills;
- Exceptional leadership skills;
- Know how to plan and coordinate.
