Job Description:
Are you passionate about ensuring vehicle safety and emissions compliance? Do you have a strong background in regulations, law enforcement, on-road enforcement, or quality control? If so, we are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Enforcement Auditor in our Smart Vehicle Solutions Contact Centre.
In this role, you will conduct and oversee inspections of vehicles for emissions, and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review audits of safety and emissions inspection data to ensure compliance.
- Review escalation reports prepared by Enforcement DriveON Auditors and provide recommendations and feedback.
- Analyze documentation and reports to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to Vehicle Inspection Centers and Technicians.
- Handle program inquiries via phone calls, emails, chats, and video calls.
- Ensure quality and compliance in scheduled audits and provide feedback to improve processes.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and user guides.
- Perform quality testing on new or updated technology and tools.
- Address complex issues and liaise with internal departments to resolve concerns.
- Monitor performance indicators and ensure response time targets are met.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Background in compliance, regulations, law enforcement is required.
- 7+ years of practical experience in an automotive service or advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and heavy-duty vehicle operations.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a professional telephone manner.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with composure and empathy.
- Strong analytical and mechanical/technical aptitude is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to new information and procedures.
- Flexible to work a 40-hour week, including shifts from Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM);
- Willingness to work on Canadian holidays and remotely as needed.
