Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Intermediate Wastewater Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be doing various design assignment related to water/wastewater projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Independently carry out designs of wastewater treatment systems and apply complimentary knowledge toward other related municipal infrastructure, such as water treatment and conveyance systems conveyance systems.
Provide project management to small-to-medium sized projects related to the field.
Provide input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project. The specialist will be required to carry out CAD related tasks while using special 3D software and model creation.
Prepare or assist in preparing fundamental computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
Engaging with prospective clients and positively representing Parsons via direct and indirect client engagement opportunities.
Apply various other design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the civil engineering field.
Will perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Civil / Chemical / Hydraulics / Water / Environmental Engineering (or related field).
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Manitoba, or the ability to complete a mobility application from another Canadian jurisdiction within 6 months.
A minimum 4 years of related work experience in Wet Utilities like potable water, waste water, sewerage networks projects.
Engineering knowledge in the design of wastewater treatment systems.
Have strong English language speaking and writing skill.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience in Manitoba.
Experience in the design and construction of wastewater treatment lagoons.
Ability to apply engineering knowledge across similar fields such as water treatment, potable water supply, and wastewater collection.
Familiarity with software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Bentley WaterCAD / WaterGems / OpenUtilities or related software and other PC software packages typically associated with wet services engineering is also required.
Skilled in the application of BIM.
