Job Description:
Parsons Inc is seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Equipment Operator/Trainee to join our Kaska Equipment Training Program. As a participant, you will be responsible for completing your Class 3 Certification and operating various types of equipment to support project execution while adhering to safety standards and company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in equipment operation and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.
Candidates must be local to Faro or Ross River.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, loaders, excavators, or other machinery as assigned under a Class 3 License.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Acceptance into a Class 3 Training Certification Course
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Ability to learn and operate various types of equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in equipment operation or related field is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working in environments that may involve exposure to outdoor elements, loud noises, and physical labor.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
