Job Description:

  • assisting with the planning and implementation of programs for students with exceptional needs;

  • implements programs to develop gross and fine motor skills, communication, self-regulation, integration, socialization and self-care;

  • assisting in evaluating progress;

  • assisting with general school activities;

  • other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Developmental Services Worker diploma, Nursing, Health Sciences or an equivalent program;

  • 2 years of related experience;

  • CPR and First Aid;

  • good written and oral communication skills;

  • initiative and commitment;

  • and the ability to work as a team member.

  • Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.



This is a 10-month permanent position with an annual salary range of $49,117 to $52,809 ($32.63 to $35.08 hourly)(to be prorated if part-time hours). A partial, or full employee’s benefits package is also provided, depending on the hours. Part Time Developmental Assistants are system hires based on staffing allocations from Student Services and the hours may change from time to time.

The start date is approximately September 1, 2025.
