TEAM MANAGER, CORPORATE RECORDS

Location: OCDSB Administration Building; 133 Greenbank Road, Nepean ON

Position Status: 1.0 Regular, Full-time

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Affiliation: Union Exempt

Salary range: September 1, 2025 rates: $96,796 to $113,920 (Level 7)




Job Summary

Under the direction of the General Manager of Governance Services, the Corporate Records Team Manager oversees the District’s records and information management programs and enterprise content management systems (including forms), standards and practices; Ensures District records are managed in a manner which facilitates the decision making by Senior staff members, and meets legislative requirements. This position supervises staff and projects; and executes projects/studies to address short and long-term program needs/issues.



Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Public Administration, Business Administration, Records Management or related field and 8-10 years of experience in information management, including corporate records in a paper and electronic environment; 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role supervising staff.

  • A master's degree (MLIS, MI, MIS) and relevant certifications such as CRM, AIIM is considered an asset.

  • Direct experience managing an Electronic Content Management (ECM) system.

  • Direct experience using and managing Laserfiche as a primary workflow, process and forms tool.

  • Proven experience in corporate services, legislative services, records management or public administration in public education school system or related educational body including experience with project management, planning, policy development, writing reports and training/information materials.

  • Advanced knowledge of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act with an ability to interpret legislation, including the Education Act.

  • Strong functional understanding of ECM systems and their capabilities (e.g., document capture, workflow automation, records management modules, search functionality).

  • Understanding of the underlying technical dependencies of ECM systems, specifically an awareness of how CSS and Java expertise contributes to the functionality and customization of electronic management solutions (e.g., Laserfiche forms, workflows, custom integrations). While not a developer role, the incumbent must be able to effectively manage and guide a technically proficient team.

  • Familiarity with database concepts and integration points relevant to ECM systems.

  • Management skills for supervising and directing staff; as well as leadership experience to coach and mentor, and motivate teams.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) required when liaising with and providing advice to senior staff, school personnel, and departments, with the ability to articulate complex concepts.

  • Tact, diplomacy and discretion is required.

  • Organizational and time management techniques for planning and organizing work; managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Project management skills.

  • Strong analytical skills for problem solving and decision making with an attention to detail.
