We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team:

Client Services Centre (IT) Support Assistant

Location: 133 Greenbank Road, In-PersonNature of Position: 1.0 Term Assignment to May 29, 2026 Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week Salary range: ESP Level 5: $49, 556 to $61, 287 per annum



Under the direction of the Team Lead, Client Services, the Client Services Assistant develops and maintains a working knowledge of supported computer applications and operating systems; responds to requests for information technology support, provides support on information technology to all Board Personnel; facilitates the effective usage of the Client Services ticket system; and provides other support functions such as installation of software, networking, laptop, tablets, smartphones, Chromebook and desktop workstation setups.



Qualifications

  • Completion of a community college diploma in Computer Science, Technology, or Business with a minimum of 1 year related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

  • Experience using software such as Ivanti ITSM, Remedy, or similar help desk software.

  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify, configure, and solve computer software/hardware problems. Specific experience with Apple, Google, and Microsoft devices and applications.

  • Knowledge with operating systems back-up methods, network usage, and server management

  • Technical skills to assist in the evaluation of computer applications.

  • Keyboarding skills for data entry; writing skills to assist in the writing of application installation instructions.

  • Knowledge of relevant Board policies and operational procedures.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills to exchange and clarify information, and respond to inquiries.

  • Organization and time management skills to prioritize work and manage multiple priorities and concurrent demands

  • Initiative and judgement skills; ability to learn new material and technology without instruction; and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
