Tasks and responsibilities
• Carry out corporate requests in terms of health and safety at work;
• Advise the company on ways to better manage and reduce risks;
• Ensure the application of all health and safety measures throughout the installation;
• Perform audits and propose improvements to the company's health and safety programs;
• Perform training, OHS integrations; • Coordinate plant and office health and safety activities;
• Work with various regulatory bodies to ensure that the company complies with applicable laws and regulations; • Keep a register of industrial accidents and propose applicable corrective measures;
• Coordinate, attend health and safety committee meetings;
• Write and ensure the execution of OHS action plans;
• Prepare and deliver presentations and training courses as required;
• Perform all other relevant tasks according to the needs of the department;
• Prepare environmental reports for government and municipal authorities;
• Involvement in WHMIS;
• Follow-up of improvement projects.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Be autonomous, responsible and conscientious;
• Initiative, highly proactive approach, leadership and good analytical skills;
• Great ability to adapt in a job within a dynamic environment where activities take place at a rapid pace
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships of trust with the various stakeholders, including managers, staff and representatives trade unions';
• Bilingual (French- English).
