As an Electrical and Control Designer, you’ll be at the heart of innovative and stimulating technological projects focused on the development of automated and digital solutions.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to design, integrate, and implement cutting-edge systems that address the complex challenges of our clients.
What You’ll Do
Design and Technical Documentation
Design electrical systems for power distribution and motor control.
Develop automation solutions tailored to client needs and project constraints.
Prepare electrical drawings, control schematics, and technical documents (specifications, data sheets, etc.).
Select components (transformers, switchgears, MCC, PLCs, sensors, motor supplies, drives, etc.) based on project requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers for equipment procurement.
Contribute to service proposals and engineering effort estimates
Installation and Commissioning (Occasionally)
Support the installation of electrical, control, and automation equipment at client sites.
Supervise and coordinate installation work.
Participate in FAT/SAT and system commissioning.
Provide technical support during equipment startup and operation to ensure a smooth handover.
Our essentials
5+ years of experience in electrical and control design.
Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
Experience in the mining and/or port sectors.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical is an asset).
Creativity, rigor, and strong teamwork skills.
Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
