The Aircraft Maintenance Inspector is responsible for ensuring the compliance, quality, and safety of maintenance work performed on the company’s fleet. Under the supervision of the Senior Aircraft Maintenance Inspector, this individual ensures that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards, internal procedures, and the requirements of Nolinor Aviation’s Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS).

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that appropriate technical publications are used by maintenance personnel during maintenance activities.
  • Identify work requiring a major modification or repair report, complete the corresponding forms, and forward them to the airworthiness department.
  • Ensure that Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) are identified by ACAs and that forms are properly submitted.
  • Identify work requiring an independent inspection and ensure it is performed by authorized personnel.
  • Conduct random sampling of completed tasks to verify compliance of work, signatures, and references used.
  • Perform Work-In-Progress (WIP) inspections for both line and heavy maintenance activities.
  • Monitor deferred items affecting airworthiness and pending inspections.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Maintenance Program Manager.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable manuals and publications related to assigned duties.

Requirements and Desired Skills

  • College diploma (DEC) or technical diploma (AEC) in aircraft maintenance.
  • Relevant experience in inspection or aeronautical maintenance (experience on Boeing 737 is an asset).
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and airworthiness standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and a high sense of safety.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a demanding technical environment.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
