Mandatory Requirements:
- Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division
Preferred Requirements:
- Additional qualification in technological studies in sewing and dressmaking, food and nutrition or home economics or currently enrolled in such a course
- Able to plan for and work with a large variety of intermediate students including students with special needs
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
- Knowledge of Grade 7 and 8 curriculum in Healthy Living
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage the program budget and classroom materials
- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
- Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
- Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
