As a VMO (Vendor management office) Senior Manager in the Supplier Management team at National Bank, you’ll be an expert in managing suppliers, influencing orientations and policies related to supplier governance and ensuring the implementation, operationalization and end-to-end management of contracts. It also means managing and monitoring performance, developing and maintaining good business relationships with third parties. This job allows you to make a positive impact on our organization with your expertise and experience in supplier management, while also giving you the opportunity to learn and grow further.
Your role
  • Lead, engage, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of managers and procurement experts for the IT and operations sector
  • Ensure good collaboration between the IT and operations sourcing sectors and the Bank’s entire sourcing ecosystem with a view to improving organizational performance and sound management of our processes with our suppliers
  • Supported by your team, manage the end-to-end life cycle of contracts, including negotiating contracts with the Bank’s sourcing group
  • Take ownership of contractual governance, develop of relationships with partners and apply industry best practices in supplier management, while rolling out a methodology to regularly assess the ''health'' of the portfolio
  • Lead and influence the management of sectors to optimize supplier performance and alignment with the Bank's objectives
  • Act as the main point of contact between the Bank and strategic suppliers
  • Interpret and control third-party risks, in particular those resulting from due diligence reviews of information security, financial analyses, IT business continuity and succession plans, and performance monitoring
  • Identify issues and participate in analyzing risk issues, assess the impacts on the Bank and formulate and follow up on innovative long-term solutions
  • Help develop and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies for the Bank and monitor budgets
Your team
In the IT sector, you will be part of the Strategic Supplier Management team for IT and operations, and report to the VP - Infrastructure, Operations and Strategic Supplier Management. Basic requirements
  • A completed bachelor’s degree in a related area of activity and 10-15 years’ relevant experience OR a completed master’s degree in a related area of activity and 10 years' relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing teams
  • Experience in governance, third-party performance management, negociation, contract management and risk management
  • Proven expertise in negotiating contracts
