Senior Manager Institutional Trading Support

The Senior Manager, Financial Markets Institutional Trading Support & Client Onboarding leads a team that delivers high-quality service to institutional clients and supports multiple trading desks and groups including Institutional Equities, Options, Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) Market Making, Electronic Trading & Program Trading, Financial Products, and Equity Capital Markets.
The team acts as the main point of contact for clients and collaborates with traders to manage onboarding, KYC/due diligence, client servicing, collateral, cash and margin management, securities lending, trade clearing and settlement, and reporting-while minimizing risk to the bank. This role also involves analyzing business objectives, applying market expertise, and implementing solutions to drive growth and development.
This position is based in Toronto or Montreal.

Your Job
  • Maintain strong client satisfaction through responsive service, while partnering with Traders, Sales, Business Heads, and Technology to deliver efficient, client-focused solutions and drive cross-functional improvements.
  • Manage operational processes including collateral, cash and margin management, securities lending, trade clearing, and settlements.
  • Monitor trader inventories and positions, ensuring accurate P&L reporting and real-time risk management.
  • Lead client meetings, identify and resolve issues, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Drive strategic initiatives, regulatory projects, and business development efforts.
  • Promote operational efficiency through process reviews, automation, and interdepartmental improvements.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and manage clear, concise internal and external communications
  • Coach and mentor employees, ensure training & documentation for business continuity, and promote career and personal development

 Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent, ideally with a completed Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or CFA designation, and 7-10 years of relevant experience in financial markets or securities.
  • Knowledge of securities trading, lending, borrowing, settlements, and the broader Financial Markets ecosystem-including products, systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to analyze, organize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, client service, leadership and communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Great team spirit, proactivity, positive attitude, motivation, and commitment
  • Capacity to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment to support a demanding professional clientele and multiple Trading Desks
  • Bilingualism both spoken and written (English and French) is considered an asset
  • Completion of Conducts and Practices Handbook (CPH), Options Licensing Course (OLC), and licensing with CIRO within 6 months; FINRA licensing within a year
