Description
A career as a senior commercial credit manager in the Credit Risk team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in commercial credit analysis and approvals. In this role, you can have a direct impact on the quality of the portfolio and on strategic decisions across the Bank, utilizing your expertise in commercial lending, risk management and complex financial analysis.
Your role
- Analyze, approve and recommend complex commercial credit decisions with a Bank-wide impact
- Coach and advise teams on complex files, acting as a subject matter expert in risk management
- Ensure the application, evolution and integrity of credit policies and processes
- Collaborate closely with internal partners and maintain strong relationships with business lines
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and propose innovative solutions
- Participate in high-impact strategic initiatives and mandates

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance or a related field
- Between seven and ten years of experience in complex commercial financing
- Experience in portfolio monitoring and credit portfolio management
- Strong knowledge of financial products and services for businesses
- Experience making decisions in complex environments and contributing to strategic mandates, including project execution/development
