Your role
- Analyze business issues, identify the needs of internal partners, and propose appropriate legal strategies to support business activities.
- Draft and interpret various banking documents, including credit agreements, security documents, and forms related to commercial operations.
- Issue legal opinions in commercial law, corporate financing, and securities, and advise the Corporate Financing Operations teams in handling complex files.
- Participate in the implementation of new products, special projects, and in the evolution of policies, standards, and processes related to commercial financing.
- Identify legal and reputational risks associated with products and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the adoption, compliance, and evolution of LegalTech tools, notably through data analysis and innovation proposals.
- Train and support teams in using LegalTech tools and adopting digital practices.

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in law combined with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Member in good standing of a Canadian provincial Bar outside Quebec.
- Experience in corporate financing and a solid understanding of the business environment.
- Demonstrated innovation and a strong interest in digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
- Proficiency with LegalTech platforms (contract management, document automation, electronic signature, regulatory monitoring).
- Ability to initiate and lead technological integration projects in a legal environment.
