A career as a Senior Analyst in the hedge accounting team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in IFRS accounting rules, ensuring the accuracy of financial models and being able to explain results. As a Senior Analyst, you are responsible for ensuring the proper accounting of Corporate Treasury operations and the integrity of financial hedging models. You will also analyse the revenues of this business line and their new financial products in collaboration with managers and other departments. You also produce various management reports and regulatory reports related to these activities.
Your job
- Produce, validate and deliver financial information related to corporate treasury, including hedging transactions, in accordance with IFRS standards in a timely manner
- Analyze monthly, quarterly and annual results explain the variances and recommend the necessary corrective measures
- Documenting and accounting for hedging transactions based on front office strategies and ensuring that the related financial models are maintained
- Help implement new hedge accounting models and develop existing tools and processes
- Prepare the notes to the financial statements as well as various management reports and regulatory reports
- Work with internal teams and business partners to provide specialised advisory support and ensure a shared understanding of accounting issues
- Contribute to ad hoc analyses implementing cross-sector projects and continuously improving accounting and financial processes

Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience
- CPA or CFA professional designation, or in the process of being obtained
- Advanced mastery of Excel
