A career as a Senior Advisor in the Financial Markets - International Division - Credit Risk Management team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in the analysis, structuring, and monitoring of complex credit exposures, while ensuring regulatory compliance, optimal risk portfolio management, and supervision of junior analysts. It is through your skills in coaching and supervising juniors, your experience in structuring risk management frameworks and assessing counterparty solvency, as well as your in-depth knowledge of banking regulations, macroeconomic analysis, and management of institutional and sovereign portfolios that you have a positive impact on decision-making and the financial security of the organization.
Your role
- Ensure operational compliance and adherence to internal risk management policies
- Achieve objectives related to credit risk control and portfolio optimization
- Conduct in-depth credit analyses and prepare necessary monitoring reports
- Ensure the quality of credit decisions and the relevance of recommendations made
- Support or influence teams, notably by supervising and training junior analysts, and by advising stakeholders on risk management
- Identify emerging risks, concentrations, and opportunities for process improvement
- Participate in the development of risk management policies, the implementation of new tools, or cross-functional projects related to credit risk

Within the sector Financial Markets and International Division in Credit Risk Management, you are part of a team of 8 colleagues and report to (the Senior Director FMI-CRM / Banks & Brokers. Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree or specialized Master’s in finance, economics, risk management, or related fields.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in financial analysis, credit risk management, sovereign risks, and support for cross-functional projects in the banking or financial sector
- Proficiency in risk modeling tools, banking regulations, management of institutional and sovereign portfolios, as well as specialized credit risk management software.
- Certification in finance, risk management, audit, or recognized professional certifications in the field (e.g.: CFA, FRM, certificate in credit risk management).
- Programming skill (VBA, Python), would be beneficial
- Ability to undertake business trips approximately twice a year to meet clients, partners, or teams internationally
