In this exciting role within the Khalil Advisory Group, you will act as a legal expert and work closely with other team members while providing support to other notaries in delivering their services to clients.
You will be part of a team of just over 40 people working in the field of wealth management. The Khalil Advisory Group, affiliated with National Bank Financial, manages nearly $4 billion in assets and serves a diverse clientele (professionals, specialists, entrepreneurs, etc.).
This is a permanent full-time position, with a minimum of three days per week in person. We have business locations in Quebec City, Rivière-du-Loup, and Rimouski. You will be based at one of these locations and may occasionally be required to travel from one city to another.
Your job
More specifically, your work will consist of:
- Obtaining and analyzing clients' legal documents (wills, protection mandates, trust deeds, shareholder agreements, insurance policies, etc.) in preparation for meetings to advise them on their estate planning.
- Establishing the family portrait and financial statement of clients.
- Participating with notaries in meetings with clients.
- In collaboration with the notary responsible for the file, evaluating and identifying estate planning needs and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Drafting document projects (reflection elements and estate plan) and submitting them for review to the notary assigned to the file.
- Ensuring the transmission of these documents to clients and the external professional responsible for the final drafting of legal documents.
- Establishing a relationship of trust with various team members (wealth management advisors, financial planners, etc.).
- Participating in the training of other group members and establishing your credibility to be recognized as an expert in your field of activity.
Prerequisites
- Notary registered with the Quebec Chamber of Notaries.
- One to four years of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of estate planning, estates, and personal protection measures.
- General knowledge of wealth management (investments, insurance, financial planning, taxation, etc.) and a strong interest in developing in these various fields of expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
