Financial Markets Summer 2025 Internship - Canada 

 

National Bank Financial Markets is recruiting for Summer internship Analyst positions within Corporate & Investment Banking for our offices in Montreal, Toronto and VancouverPositions are available within the following teams: Corporate Banking, Loan Structuring & Syndication, Investment Banking, Sustainable Finance and Equity Capital Markets.

Internship availabilities: 

 

Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB):  

  • Corporate Banking and Loan Structuring & Syndication teams collaborate to offer, structuring and syndication to large corporations for project financing, merger and acquisition transactions, and corporate financing solutions.
  • Investment Banking services include strategic advisory services related to financing and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Our Sustainable Finance team is dedicated to helping our clients design effective sustainability solutions through an integrated offering that ranges from IPO and M&A advisory serves to structuring and management of product innovation in sustainable finance.
  • The Equity Capital Markets group acts as intermediary between market investors and equity or equity linked issuers by structuring and executing such issues.  

Our Program 

 

Our internship program offers dynamic hands-on exposure working alongside seasoned professionals and assisting members of the team in executing their responsibilities.   

 

Responsibilities may include industry and company research utilizing financial modeling and valuation techniques, credit risk analysis, preparing client pitches and assisting in deal execution. As a summer program participant, you will have the opportunity to put your learnings into action and applying it in real time situations. 

 

Live your ambitions! In these roles, the expected qualifications are: 

 

  • Undergraduate or master’s program student and legally eligible to work in Canada. 
  • Capital markets and financial industry enthusiast. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented, organized, proactive and high level of intellectual curiosity. 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely. 
  • Strong analytical skills and good understanding of basic accounting rules/concepts. 
  • Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions. 
  • Robust PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills for modelling, valuations, etc. 
  • Capacity to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of the team. 
  • Team player with the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. 
  • Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgement. 
  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner. 
  • Strong academic track record and pertinent extracurricular activities 
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French required for Montreal internships).
