A career as a Documentation Governance Lead in the Capital Markets Client Due Diligence team at National Bank means acting as a strategic leader in documentation governance and operational excellence. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the quality, consistency, and sustainability of operational processes by building a structured documentation framework that supports business objectives, regulatory requirements, and transformation initiatives.
You will help bring clarity to a complex environment by improving documentation practices, strengthening governance, and enabling teams to work more efficiently through clear and sustainable processes.
Your role- Define and implement a documentation governance strategy aligned with operational, regulatory, and transformation priorities.
- Assess existing documentation to identify gaps, risks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Establish and manage a roadmap that prioritizes documentation initiatives, stakeholders, deliverables, and timelines.
- Document and optimize operational processes, procedures, guides, and standards to support operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Business, Legal, Compliance, and Operations partners to ensure alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Develop governance tools, dashboards, performance indicators, and process-management practices that support continuous improvement and innovation.

Within the Capital Markets Client Due Diligence department, you are part of a multidisciplinary team and report to the Senior Director, Capital Markets Client Due Diligence. Requirements- Hold a university degree in finance, business administration, law, or another relevant field and possess at least 5 years of experience in documentation governance, operational governance, or process management.
- Demonstrate experience documenting, reviewing, and optimizing operational processes within a complex environment.
- Have knowledge of governance frameworks, continuous improvement practices, and process-management methodologies.
- Possess experience working with Microsoft Office, Atlassian, and process-mapping or process-management tools.
- Have knowledge of financial services, Capital Markets, or regulatory compliance, including AML/KYC requirements (asset).
- Have experience leveraging artificial intelligence tools, such as Copilot, to support documentation and process improvement initiatives (asset).
