Description
As a Credit Analyst, Bilingual within the Credit team at National Bank, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by efficiently processing credit and vendor applications. Your expertise will help maximize approval rates while effectively mitigating risk, ensuring all applications are handled accurately and within established turnaround times, in full compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Role
• Review credit applications for risk, capacity, and character to assess creditworthiness.
• Analyze financial statements using internal tools like Felix or Excel.
• Evaluate applications across various market verticals as needed.
• Coach and support Credit Analysts through referrals and adjudication.
• Utilize internal systems and external credit agencies for decision-making.
• Investigate potential fraud and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards.
• Manage workload efficiently while contributing to continuous improvement and collaboration.

As part of the Credit team, you’ll join a collaborative group of 23 professionals and report directly to the Manager, Credit. Prerequisites:
• Post secondary education or equivalent working experience.
• 3-5 years of previous commercial credit experience is preferred.
• Apply critical thinking and financial analysis skills, including ratio analysis, to assess data and make informed decisions.
• Communicate effectively through strong verbal and written skills while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Collaborate efficiently within a team or independently in fast-paced, multitasking environments under pressure.
• Utilize MS Excel and Word with attention to detail, strong organization, and negotiation abilities.
