A career as a Chief Subsidiary Accounting Analyst at National Bank means acting as a specialist in financial analysis and in the optimization of accounting processes. Your role
- Analyze accounting and financial processes to understand their mechanisms and identify ways to optimize them.
- Detect discrepancies or inconsistencies and propose improvements to harmonize and standardize accounting processes within subsidiaries with similar activities.
- Support the statutory and regulatory production team to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Analyze and explain statutory results and their variations.
- Work with the Finance partner and the business line to meet management analysis needs.
- Support management in preparing financial reports for the Board of Directors, ensuring their accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by developing our tools (Excel, power query, etc.) and by adopting artificial intelligence solutions when relevant.
- Act as a resource person on topics that fall under your responsibilities and support the team with any ad hoc requests.
Your team
You will be part of a team of 12 colleagues in the Accounting - subsidiaries team and will report to the Senior Manager. OUr team is responsible for a variaty of portfolios (insurance activities, deposit institutions, securities custodians, corporate trusts, securitisation, etc.) with the goal of ensuring the integrity of the financial data under our responsibility, while providing advice and support to our partners.

Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience
- CPA accounting designation
- Proven experience in finance/accounting, disclosure and financial analysis (ideally in a banking/regulated environment)
- Proficiency in Excel and artificial intelligence tools
- Excellent analytical skills, rigour and attention to detail
- Spirit of collaboration and orientation towards continuous improvement
- Interpersonal skills demonstrated
