A career as a Chief Advisor in the Wealth Management team, means providing specialized regulatory advice, identifying potential issues that could affect the Bank, and recommending appropriate courses of action. You coach your colleagues by sharing your expertise, support them in their work, and build trusted relationships with your partners. You also participate in audit assignments focused on significant risks, whether or not they fall within your area of expertise.

You can use your passion and your expertise in regulatory frameworks (CIRO and others) to contribute to the strength of the control framework and support investment-related activities at National Bank, in a constantly evolving environment.
Your role
- Act as a subject matter expert on regulations applicable to investment or Wealth Management activities
- Participate in the planning, execution, and review of audit mandates related to regulatory compliance and other relevant risks
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, primarily in relation to regulatory requirements (OCRI and others)
- Analyze identified issues, help determine their root causes, and support managers in identifying innovative and practical solutions to eliminate those causes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to recommend improvements to processes and policies
- Draft findings and present the results of completed work to senior management and executives responsible for the processes reviewed

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree related to the field and 7 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance
- Highly specialized expertise in regulatory requirements (OCRI and others), essential
- Holding a CPA or CIA designation is an asset
- Experience in internal audit or risk management is an asset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose issues, solve complex problems, and demonstrate innovation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
- Strong ability to simplify and synthesize information
