Chief Application Analyst

A career as an Application Analyst means supporting our trading technology support team and becoming a subject matter expert on a Fixed Income (FI) electronic trading platform and providing operational and technical support to traders, business users, and technology partners.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and an interest in financial markets. No prior Fixed Income trading experience is required, but a willingness to learn complex trading workflows and systems is essential.

You’ll begin with a fairly unstructured onboarding and training period (3-5 months) during Eastern Time Zone business hours. Following training, the role transitions to an overnight schedule to support Hong Kong and London hours.

Your job

  • Learn the functionality, workflows, and operational processes of a Fixed Income electronic trading platform
  • Monitor production systems and respond to incidents, alerts, and user issues
  • Investigate production incidents and coordinate resolution with development, infrastructure, and business teams
  • Escalate when necessary to colleagues within your team
  • Manage support documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles
  • Communicate effectively with traders, technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders during incidents and service disruptions
  • Continuously improve operational processes through automation and tooling.

You are part of a team of 7 colleagues in the Electronic Trading sector and will report to the Senior Manager.

Prerequisites

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Comfortable working independently during overnight support hours.
