National Bank Capital Markets is recruiting for Analyst positions within Corporate & Investment Banking for our office Calgary. Positions are available in our Investment Banking team. Internships will be offered during the Summer 2027 sessions.

Internship availabilities: 

 

  • Investment Banking services include strategic advisory services related to financing and merges and acquisitions. 

 

Our Program 

 

Our internship program offers dynamic hands-on exposure working alongside seasoned professionals and assisting members of the team in executing their responsibilities.   

 

Responsibilities may include industry and company research utilizing financial modeling and valuation techniques, credit risk analysis, preparing client pitches and assisting in deal execution. As an internship program participant, you will have the opportunity to put your learnings into action and applying it in real time situations. 

 

Criterias: 

 

  • You are an undergraduate or a Master’s  program student enrolled full-time at a Canadian university. 
  • You have a strong interest in Capital markets and the financial industry.  
  • You have a strong academic record with relevant extracurricular participation. 
  • You are detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and possess strong interpersonal skills along with a high level of intellectual curiosity. 
  • You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and can convey concepts and ideas clearly and concisely. 
  • You have strong analytical skills and good understanding of basic accounting rules/concepts. 
  • You have the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions.  
  • You have advanced PowerPoint skills and Excel skills for modeling, valuation, etc.  
  • You can manage projects independently and are ready to take on a high level of responsibility as an integral member of the team. 
  • You are a team player and can work under pressure with tight deadlines.  
  • You demonstrate outstanding ethicsintegrity and show excellent judgement. 
  • You have the ability to interact comfortably with clients in a professional and mature manner. 
  • You have a strong academic record and relevant extracurricular participation. 
  • You are legally eligible to work in Canada.
