Description
An internship as a Business Analyst at National Bank Investments (NBI) means contributing to business process optimization and project management in an agile environment. During this internship, you will help define the scope of processes to be optimized and proactively take charge of planning activities for various deliverables.
Compensation
The compensation is $24 per hour based on a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Your Role
- Support product owners, business line partners, and IT teams in their decision-making and deliverables
- Energetically facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholders at different levels and areas of expertise
- Model current and target processes based on the mapping practices in place at the Bank
- Perform high-level and detailed impact analyses from all angles of the process with the help of experts
- Apply best practices to identify and write business requirements (functional, non-functional, informational, transitional), understand their relationships, and ensure traceability
- Define and identify user test scenarios and assist users in operational transition
- Make recommendations for the change management strategy for solution users
Your work schedule will be 37.5 hours per week for a 6-month internship. You will be required to be in the office on Wednesdays and one additional day during the week (Tuesday or Thursday). The internship will take place in Montreal.
Your Team
National Bank Investments (NBI) is an investment fund management company involved in the development and distribution of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, investment solutions, and services designed to help Canadian investors achieve their financial goals.
As an intern, you will be part of the Governance team, whose role is to oversee all practices and rules governing risk management, project management, and process optimization at NBI.

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) - an asset
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma - an asset
- Ability to understand a programming language such as SQL, VBA, or Python - an asset
