Associate Vice President, Residential Financing

A career as an Associate Vice President, Residential Financing for the Ontario and Western Canada regions at National Bank involves developing and implementing mortgage development strategies for our specialized mobile advisory forces (Mortgage Development Managers - MDM) to increase the Bank's visibility and reputation, in order to achieve the region's market share and profitability growth objectives.
As a leader, you will develop a client-centric culture with your internal and external partners, which will allow you to offer the best overall experience, in line with the Bank's values.
Your job:
  • Develop close business relationships with market intermediaries to significantly increase mortgage referrals to National Bank and thus achieve and exceed business objectives (builders, brokerage firms, and real estate brokers, etc.).
  • Optimize collaboration with all internal partners (branches, investment) to meet all the client's needs at every key moment in their life.
  • Act as a leader with managers and employees in terms of advice, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance the Bank's reputation by participating in various visibility activities and interacting with leadership committee members to advise them on the Bank's strategy.
  • Ensure optimal management of your business sector by creating an inspiring, mobilizing, and engaging climate.
Your team: 
Within the Residential Financing sector, you are responsible for a team of over 160 people, including 9 managers, and you report to the Leader, Residential Financing.
Prerequisites:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least ten years of relevant experience OR a completed Master's degree and eight years of experience in the same field.
  • Be a pragmatic, inspiring leader committed to promoting and influencing the Bank's culture of innovation and performance.
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of the Canadian real estate market.
  • Proven experience in business development, solicitation, and negotiation.
