Being an Associate Vice-President - Agriculture at National Bank means contributing to the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 strategy. It also means taking charge of a team of diversified specialists who contribute to the growth of agricultural producers in the province of Quebec by offering advice, support and financial services tailored to clients.

Your job

  • Manage and retain a multi-disciplinary team by creating a climate conducive to engagement, synergy and exceeding objectives
  • Track your employees' development and skills development through personalised coaching
  • Optimize the sector's efficiency, productivity and profitability by implementing efficiency strategies
  • Establish a strategy to maximise the positive impact of your team on your business partners and ensure the visibility of this strategy in the organisation
  • Help develop your sector's annual business plan and manage its execution
  • Ensure a balance between risk management, compliance and the quality of service delivery to partners and clients
  • Motivate the team to buy in and implement continuous improvements
  • Be an effective agent of change for your team and business partners
  • Keep abreast of trends and developments in the sector in order to remain relevant and guide the team on business priorities
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your clientele and establish business development strategies based on the Bank's orientations
  • Define and execute the business portfolio growth strategy
  • Visibility and promote the Bank's products and services to various external stakeholders (accountants, lawyers, notaries, agricultural organisations, etc.)

Your team

In the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 sector, you have a large team of 33 people under your management. You will report directly to you: 1 Account Representative Coordinator, the 3 point-of-sale financing employees, 7 small business Account Managers, and the team of Financing Solutions Managers, including a team manager. You will report to the Vice-President - Agriculture. Our team stands out for its attention to detail and personalised approach to agribusiness clients.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience with commercial Agriculture clients
  • Solid experience in personnel management
  • Experience in complex financing structures and risk analysis
  • Experience in sales coaching
  • Negotiation experience
