Reporting to the Managing Director and Co-Head for West Quebec, the Associate will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with the mission of strengthening National Bank’s presence in the market. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial analysis and credit expertise to identify, negotiate, structure, and underwrite complex corporate transactions.
Your Role:
- Support Directors and Portfolio Managers in setting up new financing files and throughout all stages of monitoring and renewal.
- Identify financial risks for the Bank in financing transactions and make recommendations to mitigate or eliminate them.
- Participate in preparing files, including analyses and structuring corporate financing solutions.
- Conduct credit analyses for loans reaching maturity, in accordance with Bank standards, and make recommendations.
- In some cases, collaborate with Directors and Portfolio Managers in client meetings and present financing proposals to clients.
- Use credit risk and profitability assessment tools while ensuring compliance with financing and risk management policies and standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s risk management processes and tools.

Requirements:
- Completed Master’s degree or accounting designation related to the field, and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in commercial credit, acquisition loans, and knowledge of business products and services.
- Experience analyzing complex financial models.
- Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Knowledge of capital markets borrowing instruments.
