A career as an Advisor Governance and Subsidiary Affairs in the Governance and Investments team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in corporate governance and corporate law. This role allows you to make a positive impact on our organization through your governance expertise, sharp legal acumen, and ability to structure complex projects.
Your job
  • Oversee governance and corporate secretariat duties for certain subsidiaries, including maintaining minute books and coordinating board and committee meetings.
  • Define and implement governance mechanisms tailored to the structure of each subsidiary.
  • Lead the entity management system and structure transactional or internal reorganization projects.
  • Coordinate legal matters related to subsidiaries, investments, and international offices.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on subsidiary activities and operations.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in governance and corporate law.
Your team Within the Legal Affairs sector, you’ll be part of a large team of colleagues and report to the Senior Director, Governance and Investments. Prerequisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in law and membership in good standing with the Bar of Quebec, Ontario, New York State, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
  • Between 7 and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate law and governance.
