About the position
In this role, you will act as a specialized labourer with leadership responsibilities, actively participating in field work while ensuring daily supervision and support of the team.
 
More specifically, you will :
  • Carry out specialized work related to mining operations;
  • Act as a field leader for the labourer team;
  • Assign daily tasks and support the team in completing the work;
  • Assist the foreman by monitoring work progress and reporting field issues;
  • Promote and enforce health, safety, and environment (HSE) rules;
  • Identify, report, and intervene in risk situations;
  • Use and supervise the safe use of tools, equipment, and light machinery;
  • Participate in the maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of equipment and work areas;
  • Collaborate with other trades and production teams;
  • Work efficiently in northern climatic conditions (cold, harsh weather, extended schedules).

  • Experience in a northern environment (an asset)
  • Ability to communicate in English (an asset)
