About the position
In this role, you will act as a specialized labourer with leadership responsibilities, actively participating in field work while ensuring daily supervision and support of the team.
More specifically, you will :
- Carry out specialized work related to mining operations;
- Act as a field leader for the labourer team;
- Assign daily tasks and support the team in completing the work;
- Assist the foreman by monitoring work progress and reporting field issues;
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environment (HSE) rules;
- Identify, report, and intervene in risk situations;
- Use and supervise the safe use of tools, equipment, and light machinery;
- Participate in the maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of equipment and work areas;
- Collaborate with other trades and production teams;
- Work efficiently in northern climatic conditions (cold, harsh weather, extended schedules).
