Description
AI is redefining how people work, collaborate, and make decisions. From Copilot to Agents, we are at a moment where the employee experience can be fundamentally reimagined. The Agent and Copilot Accelerated Experiences Design team is focused on shaping that future by exploring how AI can meaningfully support, augment, and inspire employees in their everyday work.
We are looking for a Product Designer who is excited by this transformation and curious to explore how AI-powered tools can create more intuitive, empowering employee experiences. This role is a great fit for a designer with strong visual design skills, a passion for learning, and an interest in experimenting with emerging technology.
You enjoy turning abstract ideas into tangible experiences. You are hands-on in Figma, comfortable building early interaction concepts and lightweight prototypes, and motivated to explore how AI can transform workflows, surfaces, and systems. You bring solid design fundamentals, a growth mindset, and curiosity about how people work inside complex organizations.
In this role, you will work across two core modes. You will rapidly ideate and prototype concepts that help illustrate future directions for AI-powered employee experiences. You will also partner closely with feature teams to understand existing products, identify gaps, and contribute to solutions that improve clarity, efficiency, and delight for employees. Your work will be self-directed while deeply collaborative with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers.
This role is especially well suited for someone who wants to grow their career designing the next generation of employee experiences and learning how AI can be applied responsibly and creatively at scale.
At Microsoft, our mission-to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more-guides how we partner with customers to deliver trusted, impactful solutions. With a growth mindset culture, we innovate responsibly and measure success by shared progress-people, teams, and customers. Join us to do meaningful work that changes the world and helps shape what’s next for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and fellow designers to explore and refine AI-driven product experiences. You will work with user researchers to support usability testing, learn from research insights, and apply those learnings to design concepts. You will contribute to foundational research and help translate findings into clear, actionable design explorations.
- Compelling Communication and Storytelling - You will clearly communicate design ideas starting from the problem and user needs. You will explain how proposed solutions address those needs, using visuals, prototypes, and narratives that resonate with cross-functional partners. You will frequently work with teams who have limited context and competing priorities, making clarity, simplicity, and storytelling essential.
- Product Thinking - You will seek to understand the broader employee experience, including workflows, constraints, and business goals. You will consider how AI-enhanced design decisions impact usability, trust, and adoption. You are eager to learn how thoughtful design can bridge technology, human needs, and organizational value.
