SUMMARY:

To collaborate in the implementation of the environmental policy, assessment, and follow-up of the environmental performance of Metro.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Implement various activities and programs related to the Company's environmental policy.

- Monitor and prepare reports on Company performance in waste management, climate change, water consumption, etc.

- Prepare, execute, and compile annual environmental audits in corporate buildings.

- Participate in various environmental projects (Phases I and II, rehabilitation, conformity measures) with other departments supporting the Environmental Advisor.

- Ensure compliance of environmental legal requirements and prepare reports on Company environmental performance. Advise relevant parties of any concerns in a timely manner.

- Monitor and analyze changes to laws and regulations that would impact that Company and make recommendations on policies and procedures to address them. Provide guidance to various divisions on environmental issues.

-Design and conduct public awareness/training activities related to environment.

- Participate in various committees
- Participate in the implementation of the environmental pillar approach of the Corporate Responsibility.

- Execute all other related tasks requested by his superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree or College Certificate in environmental science

- 3 - 5 years relevant work experience

- Intermediate PC skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

- Ability to plan and achieve activities and to prioritize urgent and critical tasks

- Must communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing (French is an asset)

- Frequent travel will be expected
