Are you experienced in managing technical aviation operations and ready to lead a team responsible for sustaining critical aerospace systems?

We are seeking a Life-Cycle Sustainment Manager to oversee sustainment and logistics activities related to complex avionics systems within a military aviation environment. The person in this role will coordinate priorities between engineering, operations and supply chain teams while maintaining visibility on repair cycles and support deliverables. This position requires a calm, structured leader with strong communication skills and a solid technical understanding of aviation operations in regulated environments.

A day in the life

  • Supervise the daily activities of the sustainment and logistics team
    • Plan workload and ensure the delivery of logistics and technical support outputs
    • Maintain visibility on repair cycles and the status of repairable components
    • Coordinate operational priorities with engineering, operations and supply chain teams
    • Track task progress and escalate operational risks or constraints when required
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
    • Participate in program meetings and planning activities
    • Contribute to the improvement of logistics processes and tools

You must have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
    • At least 5 years of experience managing teams, projects or sustainment activities in aerospace or defence environments
    • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on technical experience with military or civil aviation equipment
    • Experience with logistics systems, inventory management tools and ERP platforms
    • Familiarity with maintenance or sustainment information systems used in regulated industries
    • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency and the ability to obtain Secret security clearance
    • Strong communication and team coordination skills
    • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment

Assets

  • Supply Chain Management certification or PMP certification
    • Experience within the Canadian Armed Forces or a military aviation environment
    • Familiarity with defence maintenance or logistics systems
    • Training or experience related to airworthiness
