THE ROLE

Reporting to the Lead Planning Coordinator and responsible for production scheduling and management of input assets (non-purchased) and production schedule for Tanks. This position is critical in supporting the plants production schedules and planning requirements for Tank plants and supporting our customer requirements.

 

LOCATION: Blythewood, South Carolina

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Part of the collaboration with key stakeholders regarding production planning and schedules to support customer tank requirements and optimum inventory levels are achieved and maintained

• Creating, updating, developing, and managing the integrity of the production schedule based on forecast, backlog and inventory levels.

• Identify risks with anticipated sales and raw material availability which could positively or negatively affect the Master Production Schedule.

• Releasing and updating of shop orders in IFS to reflect the production completion dates, monitoring capacity constraints and following up with issues on the schedule.

• Planning and scheduling the workflow for each manufacturing department and operation according to previously established manufacturing capacity constraints.

• Promote ability to meet target dates for produced materials.

• Work closely with production team to ensure shop orders are being processed and prioritized based on requirements.

• Identifying, designing, developing and generating reports to provide timely information for inventory or scheduling related business decisions.

• Performs other duties as required to ensure the success of the business unit.

• Must be able to immediately gain credibility with others to negotiate with and influence them.

• Strong attention to detail is important.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Very strong working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.

• IFS/ERP knowledge is an asset

• 3 to 5 years - Supply Chain or Production Planning

• Able to work in fast paced, high pressure environments.

• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
