What we are looking for:

 

We are looking for nurses who  are in the process of becoming registered with the CNO to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Ontario and must still complete their supervised practice. You must have received from the CNO a notification of eligibility to participate in the Supervised Practice Program (SPEP).  You will be matched with one of our nursing departments if you meet the qualifications to complete your 140 hours of practice.

As a member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively with the other members of the care team in providing care to patients.  You will practice in an environment where our focus is on patient/family centered care, customer satisfaction and ongoing professional development.

 

 

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Received a CNO issued notification of eligibility to participate in the Supervised Practice Program (SPEP)
  • Current BCLS certification or ability to complete within 6 months
  • Recent related medical/surgical experience with evidence of well developed clinical skills
  • RNAO membership is preferred
  • Excellent physical assessment skills
  • Proficient computer skills  
  • Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently
  • Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Compensation:

$19.81 per hour

 

Work Schedule:

Successful applicants should be available to work Monday through Sunday and holidays. Please note schedule may change due to operational needs
