Description
Our before school care program runs from 7:30 - 8:30 and is a quiet, settled hour with 3 and 4 year olds. The supervisor will spend the hour facilitating and participating in quiet games. When students are picked up for class, it is the supervisor's responsibility to clean the tables and ensure all supplies etc were put away.
Our after school care program for 3 and 4 year olds runs from 3:00 - 5:00. The supervisor is expected to spend the time facilitating games & activities and ensuring safety of children. It is expected that supervisors will communicate with parents at pick up time and communicate with co-workers on an ongoing basis. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with both children and adults are essential.
The ideal candidate:
- has their ECE or ECE -A
- is reliable, punctual, and organized
- has experience working with this age group in a recreational setting
- has exceptional communication skills with both children and adults
- is enthusiastic, patient, and flexible
- enjoys both facilitating and participating in activites alongside the children
- has current First Aid (or willingness to acquire)
- has a clean criminal record check
The successful candidate is ideally available Monday - Friday from7:30 - 8:30 and 3:00 - 5:00 (please do not hesitate to apply if you are available for only one of these shifts). Our ideal candidate can finish out the school year, but we are ultimately looking for someone from September 2023 to June of 2024.
