We are seeking reliable individuals to join our on-call snow removal team. This position is ideal for someone who can respond quickly when needed and is comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions.
- Monitor weather conditions and assess when snow removal services are required
- Remove snow from designated areas (barns, driveways, walkways, parking lots, etc.) using shovels, tractor and snow blower (company provided), or other equipment
- Apply salt or sand as required for safety
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Communicate availability promptly when contacted for work
- Follow Maple Leaf Foods AgOps Biosecurity Policy and Personal Hygiene Program
- Perform other duties as assigned
- $29.46 per hour
- All PPE is provided to employees (Boot Reimbursement of $125 after 3 months of service)
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Previous experience in snow removal is an asset but not required
- Able to follow SOPs and health & safety protocols
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, including shoveling of snow
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Must have valid G license
