Come join the MAPEI company as a Operator on the night shift.

Under the responsibility of the Supervisor, the position holder directs and controls the operation of the equipment he is assigned on, in the manufacturing process

Tasks and responsibilities:

Operates, maintains and controls the packaging equipment in the manufacturing process;
Performs minor mechanical repairs and PM on equipment;
Makes sure to read and follow daily production schedule and instructions;
Prepares packaging materials by retrieving items from storage, applying labels to the containers, setting up and loading filling machines, operating scales and printing devices;
Maintains the quality and the correct weight of the bags produced;
Performs Durometer tests on bags for hardness and vacuum;
Must be able to trouble shoot;
Drives a fork lift/Raymond in accordance with all legislation;
Makes sure that his workplace is clean;
Any other related tasks.

Requested skills

High School Degree and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing industry
Must read and understand English; understands kilos and pounds
Good mathematical abilities. The candidate will have to succeed at a mathematic exam
Mechanic skills (The candidate will have to succeed a mechanical aptitude test)
Good computer skills
Capacity to lift 50 pounds many times a day and to stand up for long periods of time
Certified fork lift operator
Leadership, skills in decision making, skills in solving problems
Analytical capacity and sense of initiative
Sense of planning and organization
Detailed (rigorous)
