The opportunity

What you’ll do:

As a member of the Product illustration team, you will provide product illustrations to insurance advisors to help them provide ongoing support our life insurance clients. Many insurance products are sensitive to interest rates or have adjustable features. Illustrations contain valuable information that allows advisors to show a policy’s progress over time, evaluate the impact of certain changes, and determine funding levels required to ensure their client’s insurance needs continue to be met.

Who you’ll work with:

The Product illustration team is part of the Life Insurance and Critical Illness product development team. We are a team of highly knowledgeable people who design and maintain Manulife’s individual insurance’s product shelf. In your role, you will have access to a variety of subject matter experts from the Product, Large Case, and Advance Sales teams, and regularly connect with other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible to provide illustrations to internal business units as well as external requests from insurance advisors and clients, using various tools.
  • You will answer/clarify technical product questions or questions about the values on illustrations and why they may have changed.
  • You will multi-task between creating illustrations/quotes, responding to e-mail queries and assisting on ad-hoc requests, as necessary.
  • Participate in projects and user acceptance testing as required.

  • Expert Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Highly effective time management skills required for an environment of high/fluctuating work volumes with shifting priorities to meet service standards

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, as we respond to inquiries over the phone and in writing.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Waterloo, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$49,575.00 CAD - $82,625.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
